We are deeply saddened by the news of Melissa Mathison’s passing. Melissa was a close of friend of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan people. She wrote the screenplay for Martin Scorsese’s 1997 film Kundun. Melissa was also on the board of the International Campaign for Tibet since 1995. Tibetans have lost a very good friend and supporter. We will always remain grateful for her contribution and help. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.
