The Office of Tibet, in collaboration with the Institute of Tibetan Classics, is pleased to announce a WINTER BUDDHISM RETREAT, an intensive four-day workshop, in the heart of New York City from January 13-16, 2011.
…The workshop will be led by Geshe Thupten Jinpa, His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s Principal Interpreter. Geshe Thupten Jinpa will be joined by Professor Richie Davidson, a pioneer in the brain-science of meditation; Professor Yudru Tsomo from Lawrence University; Lama Migmar, Buddhist Chaplain at Harvard University; Lama Pema Wangdak from Palden Sakya Center; Telo Rinpoche from Kalmyk Buddhist Union; Jeff Watt from the Himalayan Art Resource and more.
The $20 Registration fee will cover accommodations and meals for the duration of the retreat. Registration is required for all attendees even if you wish to arrange your own accommodations.
Partial financial assistance for travel fare, and registration fee waivers, is available based on need. Financial assistance will be given on a first come, first served basis.
