The Office of Tibet, Washington DC organized a successful dialogue event between His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the Chinese/ Tibetan students representing 71 college/universities in NY, NJ and neighboring states. In all, over 300 students participated.
The event was held at Phuntsok Deshi Hall of Tibetan Association of NY & NJ. The name of the hall was blessed by His Holiness.
Representative Ngodup Tsering, thanked His Holiness for accepting their request to address the gathering of students and prayed for the long life and good health for His Holiness and also, prayed for a visit to North America in the near future.
His Holiness touched on the crucial need of cultivating compassion and warm heartedness, which is the key to peace and happiness to the self, society and humanity at large.
