SOUTH TYROL: A five-member Kalon delegation from the Central Tibetan Administration arrived in South Tyrol, Italy, yesterday at the invitation of the European Academy of Bolzano.
During their visit to the autonomous provinces of South Tyrol and Trento in northern Italy, the European Academy has organised a series of meeting about the provinces’ legal autonomous status within the political structure of the Italian republic.
On 4 December evening, Kalon Dolma Gyari and Kalon Dicki Chhoyang will speak at a public conference. The Kalons will also be meeting President Luis Durnwalder of South Tyrol and President Ugo Rossi of Trento.
Early next week, Kalons will travel to Belgium, France, Germany, The Netherlands and Switzerland to join the respective Tibetan communities in the celebration of the 24th Anniversary of His Holiness the Dalai Lama being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
