An appeal for TCDF

Dear Friends,

The Tibetan Community Development Fund, Inc. (TCDF) is registered as 501(c)(3), and it serves as the non-profit arm of the Office of Tibet in Washington DC. The Representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the Central Tibetan Administration is the ex-officio chairperson of the TCDF.

In an effort to revitalize TCDF with more educational, cultural, economic, development and social programs for Tibetans living in North America, India and Nepal we seek your help and contributions.

We are currently implementing two projects. One of them is the Education Summit: a Conference of Tibetan Teachers of the Weekend Tibetan language schools in the West. This is organized in partnership with CTA’s Department of Education, Dharamsala and it will be the first of its kind. The second one is the Secular Ethics teaching and Youth Workshop: a seminar that aims to instill in the Tibetan college students and young professionals positive attributes and human values as espoused by His Holiness the Dalai Lama. We did one last year and we hope to organize one this year too.

There are also other ways by which you can be a part of TCDF, whose main aim and the objective is to help preserve and promote the continuation of Tibetan language, culture, and identity.
