MPP Bhutial Karpoche, MPP for Parkdale—High Park with SIkyong Penpa Tsering.
Toronto: As part of his final official engagements in Canada, Sikyong Penpa Tsering met with MPP Bhutila Karpoche, Chair of Ontario Parliamentary Friends of Tibet.
Following their interaction on Monday, MPP for Parkdale—High Park tweeted she was honoured to have met with the Sikyong of the Central Tibetan Administration and said, “It was wonderful to welcome him to Parkdale, home of the Tibetan community of Ontario”.
Sikyong also expressed the same sentiment and tweeted he was proud of MPP Bhutila Karpoche for being a constant inspiration to Tibetan youth and leading them with her exemplary work.
“Her work and initiatives, including the passing of the Tibetan Heritage Month Act, demonstrate the impact one Tibetan can create. It was a pleasure meeting her today” Sikyong tweeted.
MPP Karpoche also met with Representative Dr Namgyal Choedup, CTA’s Spokesperson Tenzin lekshay and delegates of CTA during a meeting with the latter.
