Paris: On 15 May 2024, Sikyong Penpa Tsering of the Central Tibetan Administration arrived in Paris, France, with a warm welcome reception from the Tibetan community.
From the airport, Sikyong headed to the French Senate, where he was received by Senators Jacqueline Eustache Bruno, Else Joseph, Marie Mercier, Marie Pierre Richer, Olivier Rietmann, and Anne-Marie Nédélec, as well as assistants Marina de Laplagnolle, Virginie Muneret, and Thierry Munier.
During the meeting, Sikyong was accompanied by Representative Rigzin Choedon Genkhang, Tibetan Parliamentarian Thupten Gyatso, Paris Coordinator Thupten Tsering, and Jigme Dorjee from the Bureau du Tibet.
