Sikyong Penpa Tsering Offers Taiwanese People His Deepest Condolences for the Losses Caused by Earthquake

Dharamshala: On behalf of the Central Tibetan Administration and the Tibetan people worldwide, Sikyong Penpa Tsering wrote a letter to President Tsai Ing-wen of the Republic of China on 3 April 2024 to express his heartfelt sympathies and prayers for the loss inflicted by the devastating earthquake.

In his letter, Sikyong wrote, “While the reported magnitude of the earthquake is substantial, it is our fervent hope that its impact has been minimal. Our thoughts and prayers are particularly with those who have lost their beloved ones, sustained injuries, and endured losses as a result of this tragic event.”

“I wish to convey my deepest sympathies to those who are grieving the loss of their loved ones due to this calamity. Additionally, I extend my sincere admiration to the countless individuals who are tirelessly providing emergency support and engaging in rescue efforts on the ground.”

The Tibetan political leader further offered his sincere prayers for the swift recovery and healing of all those affected in his letter.
