As part of his ongoing official visit to North America, Sikyong Penpa Tsering arrived to a warm reception by the Tibetan community of Albuquerque and Santa Fe led by the respective presidents and members of the Tibetan Association of Albuquerque and Santa Fe at the airport on 13 October.
Later in the evening, Sikyong addressed the Tibetan community on the concerns and priorities of the Central Tibetan Administration and engaged in a Q&A session.
The following day, Sikyong Penpa Tsering visited the Tibetan community in Atlanta, Georgia, where he was warmly received by representatives from the Drepung Loseling Center in Atlanta and the Tibetan community, led by the president and members of the Tibetan Association of Atlanta. Thereafter, Sikyong addressed the local Tibetan community and held a brief interaction with them.
