Sikyong Penpa Tsering Expresses Condolences on Passing of U.S. Senator and Tibet Supporter Lindsey Graham

Dharamshala: Sikyong Penpa Tsering extended his condolences on the demise of the U.S. Senator and Tibet Supporter Lindsey Graham on behalf of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) and the Tibetan people.

In the letter, Sikyong recalled his recent meeting with the late senator, during which Senator Graham reflected on his meeting with His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the impact it had on him.

Sikyong expressed gratitude for Senator Graham’s steadfast support for Tibet-related initiatives in the U.S. Congress, as well as for the guidance and counsel provided by his office in securing annual funding for programmes that support the Tibetan exile community.

Thanking the late senator for his unwavering support, Sikyong said he would always be remembered with deep gratitude and respect.

Sikyong concluded by offering his prayers and condolences, saying, “May his noble deeds light his path in the afterlife, and may he attain a swift rebirth.”
