Office of Tibet DC to organize virtual panel discussion on Effective Tibetan Language Teaching in Weekend Tibetan Schools in North America
Washington DC: The Office of Tibet-DC will be hosting a live panel discussion on “Promotion of Effective Tibetan Language Teaching” in Weekend Tibetan schools in North America on August 1st, 2020. This is an effort to highlight the importance of Tibetan language teaching/learning. Drawn from their rich experiences and expertise, the panellists will discuss the effective methods of teaching the Tibetan language in the schools. Therefore, current teachers serving in the weekend schools are encouraged to participate. It will be an interactive discussion of an hour and a half with Q & A.
The speakers are:
- Dr. Pema Yangchen, Kalon, Department of Education, CTA
- Gen Mingchung, Mentor of the Tibetan language in TCV schools
- Tenzin Norbu Nangsel, Editor, NATA Tibetan textbooks
