Dharamshala; In his felicitation letter written to honourable Mike Johnson, Sikyong Penpa Tsering extended his heartfelt congratulations to the former on being appointed as the 56th Speaker of the US House on behalf of the the Central Tibetan Administration and Tibetan people.
Sikyong wrote, “We remain profoundly grateful for the unwavering bi-partisan support that the Tibetan cause has received over the past several decades from the US Congress, especially under the remarkable leadership of Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi and our dedicated friends from both sides of the aisle. In the face of the increasingly challenging situation in Tibet, it continues to inspire us that the US Congress stands as one of the foremost advocates for the Tibetan aspirations.”
“Under your able leadership, we are optimistic that the Tibetan cause will continue to garner increased attention and support which will give us hope and strength”, Sikyong added while wishing every success to the newly elected US Speaker during his tenure.
