Diplomacy Training for Staff of Offices of Tibet Concludes

VIRGINIA: May 14, 2015. The 11 days of Diplomatic Training for the Representative and the Staff of the Offices of Tibet concluded today in Virginia, US. In her concluding remarks, Kalon Dicki Chhoyang said that the participants had an in-depth insight from different experienced resource persons, and that will certainly help us in doing our job in a better way. She also said that this kind of training should be more frequent, and other areas of our focus should be on media outreach and public speaking.

In the second week of the training, exposure were given on number of key issues such as Principle of Diplomacy in Practice, Defense & Security to Diplomacy over Natural Resources & Human Rights, Factors impacting International Negotiation on Water, Results based Management, etc.

During the course of training, the participants visited the Department of State to meet with the Staff of the Special Coordinator for the Tibetan issue, and other program officers. They also visited the offices of National Endowment for Democracy (NED) and the Office of Tibet in Washington, DC, followed by simple tour of White House.
