Dharamshala: His Holiness the Dalai Lama departed from his residence early this morning at around 7:30 AM for Sikkim and Salugara where he is scheduled to give teachings from 12-14 December.
Tibetans and devotees thronged the street as the 88-year-old beloved Tibetan spiritual leader made way for Gaggal Airport.
In Sikkim, His Holiness will give one-day teaching on Gyalsey Thokme Sangpo’s 37 Practices of a Bodhisattva (laklen sodunma) in the morning at Paljor Stadium at the request of the Sikkim State Government. On 14 December, His Holiness will give a general teaching followed by the Ceremony for the Generation of Bodhicitta (semkye) at Sed-Gyued Monastery.
After concluding the Northeast visit, His Holiness is scheduled to visit Bodh Gaya from 20 December 2023 to 1 January 2024 for engagements including an inauguration programme, a prayer session, teachings, and a long life offering ceremony.
