The Tibet Museum of the Department of Information and International Relations (DIIR) successfully concluded a travelling exhibition on the life story and accomplishments of His Holiness the Dalai Lama across four states in the U.S.

The exhibition began on 3 February in New York and was held at 12 venues, including Tibetan community centres, colleges, universities, and art institutes in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Chicago. It introduced His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s life story and the four noble commitments to local Tibetans and foreigners.

The final exhibition was held at the Chicago Tibetan Community Centre and was inaugurated by Professor Ken Paller from Northwestern University’s Psychology and Neural Science Department. On the third day, George Van Dusen, Mayor of Skokie, attended as a guest.

Marking the beginning of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 90th year according to the Tibetan calendar, the Department of Information and International Relations (DIIR), in collaboration with four Tibetan community associations in America, organised the traveling exhibition from 3 to 24 February 2025. It covered areas with significant Tibetan populations in the eastern United States, New York and the Midwest, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Chicago.
