Zurich, Switzerland, 8 October 2026: Sikyong Penpa Tsering of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) arrived at Zurich Airport today, marking the beginning of an official visit to Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and Germany.
Upon arrival, Sikyong was warmly received by the Representative and staff of the Tibet Bureau, Geneva, the President of the Tibetan Community of Switzerland, and representatives of local Tibetan associations and community members.
During his visit to Switzerland, Sikyong is scheduled to hold a series of official meetings with various stakeholders, interact with members of the Tibetan community, and lead an interactive session with Tibetan youth.
Following his engagements in Switzerland, Sikyong will travel to Prague, Czech Republic, to participate in the 30th Forum 2000 Conference, before proceeding to Germany for further high-level engagements.
The three-nation visit forms part of the CTA’s ongoing international outreach to strengthen dialogue, raise awareness of the Sino-Tibet conflict among political leaders, policymakers, civil society organisations, and European stakeholders, and consolidate engagement with the Tibetan diaspora.
