Dharamshala: The 16th Kashag of the Central Tibetan Administration convened the 8th Permanent Strategy Committee meeting at the Bylakuppe Tibetan Settlement in Karnataka, India, on 23 January 2026.
The three-day meeting is chaired by Sikyong Penpa Tsering and attended by all the committee members, including Kalon (Minister) Dolma Gyari (Department of Security), Kalon (Minister) Norzin Dolma (Department of Information and International Relations), former Kalon Tempa Tsering, former envoy of His Holiness the Dalai Lama Kelsang Gyaltsen, Secretary of the Gaden Phodrang Office Ngaba Tsegyam and the committee’s members: Political Secretary Tashi Gyatso of the Kashag Secretariat, Secretary Karma Rinchen (Department of Security), Secretary Karma Choeying (Department of Information and International Relations), and former secretary Dawa Tsering.
The meeting will be held for three days from 23 to 25 January 2026.
